Peyton’s Places Renewed for a Second Season. Why You Should Binge Watch Season 1 Now.

Coping without sports has been tough. Thankfully we were all able to enjoy The Last Dance over the past 5 weeks, but now that is over. We no longer have the NFL Draft or free agency and things to watch are getting slimmer and slimmer. The good news is live sports are starting to get closer to a return plan. That will still be a couple of months from now though till we are back in the swing of things. In the meantime go watch The Match Part II this Sunday, which sees greats Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady battle against Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods in a charity golf event. I’m sure they will talk a little about the new season of Peyton’s places and what to expect. If you are a fan of the NFL then you should go watch season 1 and here is why!

Peyton’s Places was originally supposed to be a limited series to celebrate the NFL’s 100th season. It was so popular though that they decided to bring it back for another season. The best part about Peyton’s Places is that I guarantee you will learn something about the NFL in every episode. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable about the NFL and it’s history for the most part, considering I’ve only been alive for less than a quarter of its existence. I easily learned a handful of new things every episode. It covers so much more than just the game played on the field. You will learn about the origins of the NFL Draft, fantasy football, how the game ball has changed over time, etc. The biggest draw is finding out how the NFL began and all the people and events that impacted it over its 100 year history for it to become what it is today. The NFL is the greatest sports league in America and Peyton Manning does a great job telling the story of it.

The only bad thing is that it is only available on ESPN+ which I’m sure most people don’t have. They do play episodes regularly on ESPN though so go into your DVR and record the series. Slowly but surely you’d collect all the episodes.

There is so much history in the NFL that it can’t possibly be covered in one year. I’m excited for when season 2 comes back to learn even more about the sport I love!
